This week's biggest decision
Voted against putting a City Charter on the November ballot
At a packed July 28 special meeting, Council unanimously decided not to place a proposed City Charter before voters on November 3, 2026. The night was the third and final scheduled decision point after public hearings on June 2 and July 7. Residents again filled chambers, and more than half of the 36 public comments pressed Council to slow down.
